The “About Me” page is a brief sketch of why I decided to help people understand the eight parts of speech.

As a speaker and lecturer, I like to utilize proper grammar when I speak in public and when I teach in the class room.

My Story

My story begins with my children. I noticed that they were struggling with English grammar in the lower grades at school.

In order to help them, I put together some simple exercises to help them grasp the fundamentals of English Grammar.

I wanted them to understand the eight parts of speech so that they were fluent in diagramming English sentences.

When I marked papers for college students, I realized just how easy it was for children to miss the fundamentals of English grammar.

I really felt for these college students who struggled to write proper structured sentences in their papers. In some ways, I found it very frustrating because it hindered some students in reaching their full potential.

In light of the above, I write these articles on this website to help my children (and other people) understand Basic English Grammar because I believe every child should have the ability to write and speak grammatically correct.
